Simple Carrot Cake Recipe | Cooking With Madonna

 

       Ingredients

 

·         500g flour

·         350g margarine

·         300g sugar

·         7 eggs

·         125ml milk

·         1 tbsp baking powder

·         1 bottle top of vanilla essence

·         1 tsp cinnamon powder

·         1/2 tsp nutmeg powder(optional)

·         2 medium sized fresh carrots(grated)

Procedure

·         Weigh all ingredients

·         Divide the flour into two portions  of 350g and 150g

·         Sieve the 350g flour into a bowl

·         Sieve sugar into a different bowl(optional)

·         Add 350g margarine and cream until light and fluffy

·         In a separate bowl whisk your eggs,sugar,vanilla essence to half form

·         Sieve the 150g flour plus baking powder in a bowl and the spices

·         Add the grated carrot

·         Fold in the egg mixture alternating the 150g flour in the flour butter mixture

·         Fold in your milk as the last ingredient

·         Baking for 45-60 minutes at Temp 180-200°ca

·         Use a knife or toothpick to check if its ready
