Renowned media personality Caroline Mutoko has given a piece of her mind to Kenyans irked by supermodel Naomi Campbell’s appointment as Kenya’s international ambassador for the tourism organization Magical Kenya.
According to the journalist, the 50-year-old model is well-deserving of the role, as she is a friend to Kenya by consistently touring the country and even vouched for Kenya after the 2007-2008 election chaos.
Through her Facebook page, the broadcaster called out those bothered by Campbell’s appointment ought to be ashamed of themselves for negativity and ignorance.
“Are we ignorant? We don’t get it, why do we display our ignorance boldly and coat it with a little bit of bile? If you don’t understand ask, don’t display your ignorance boldly and loudly on social media, ” Said Mutoko
Adding; “This international icon is good for us, she has been a true friend of this country, she means well for us for the numbers we need, ” she explained.
Mutoko further lauded Magical Kenya for choosing Naomi, as the country needs more icons to promote the booming tourism industry, and advised netizens who gave negative comments to apologize to the model.
When the English supermodel was appointed on January 12 by tourism secretary Najib Balala, disappointed netizens called out the cabinet secretary citing that there are many Kenyans more deserving of the job.
