Comedian Jalang’o explains the source of his wealth after “Wash wash” accusations

Controversial Kiss 100 presenter Jalang’o, has responded to the ongoing allegations leveled by blogger Edgar Obare linking him to a notorious gang of Nairobi conmen and money launders. His retaliation came shortly after netizens began questioning the source of his immense wealth was called into question.

In a series of shocking allegations posted by Edgar Obare, a number of wealthy Nairobi men who seem to be close friends of Jalang’o were accused of taking part in money laundering activities.

It should be noted that Obare and Jalang’o share a rocky history after the tea master previously linked him to a club of men who exchanged women for sexual pleasures.

“For the past 10 to 15 years I’ve never seen what 7 o’clock looks like unless I’m on holiday or its the weekend when I’m not working because I’ve always just known 4 am as my wake up time and we come to Kiss and they pay us so well,” the comedian started.

According to the father of three, he currently runs a media house specializing in production and advertising known as Arena Media.

“It’s a below the line and above the line marketing firm where we sit down with a team of almost 20 people, employed pensionable and taxable,” he said.

He continued that he has also been working as a brand ambassador with multi-million companies which range from, apparel, fast-moving consumer goods, and construction.

“As you speak today, I think I’m a brand ambassador to almost five top brands…a brand ambassador, not influencer…for influencing I have a thousand and one… I’ll tell you easily there’s a time I drive in this town and I see a billboard literally every single place, those things pay,” Jalang’o said.

“To make it even crazier, per week I think I do like three to four events and club appearances and all which are paying very well. Jalang’o TV is a different hustle altogether racking up to almost 10 million views every single month and I literally put it out and say per week I must have four to five interviews,” he said.

From his flashy lifestyle, the on-air personality is ranked as one of the wealthiest media personalities in Kenya having risen through the social and financial ladder from a humble fisherman in Kisumu.

Jalang’o drives a Toyota V8 and also owns a Range Rover Velar, Mercedes convertible, Mercedes V-Class, and a Land Rover Discovery.

Apart from his mega-mansion in Nairobi, he is currently constructing another mansion in Kitengela and at his rural home.
