Award-winning gospel singer Emmy Kosgei says she hopes to sire children of her own someday and having being married in 2013, to her Nigerian husband Anselm Madubuko, curious netizens are bound to ask the couple about their childless marriage.
According to the entertainer, she did not get to tie the knot for the sole purpose of having children and as we speak, she explained that she is not in a hurry to start a family.
Despite her significant age difference from her evangelist husband, the high-profile couple is never shy of expressing their love for each other openly in public.
“I didn’t get married just because I wanted to have kids. Relationships are about unions and destinies. If you are attached to the wrong person, it can affect your destiny permanently,” she is quoted as saying.
However, Ms. Emmy has always been a subject of critics after she got married to an older man for his love or money, and on several occasions sadly a few insensitive netizens have been bashing her for not having any children of her own. She has been silent about it.
Speaking during an interview with Parents Magazine, Emmy revealed that her partner genuinely adores her and further added he has two children of his own and she hopes to have hers someday.
“I’m also very busy, but yes I do hope to have my own children one day, My stepchildren respect me and call me mum. I don’t take it for granted,” she said.
The singer went on to explain that it irks her that people are so invested in her personal journey like her having children to which issues to do with infertility are sensitive. She is not happy with how people are intrusive in her life and marriage.
