A few weeks ago Wizkid called Reekado Banks a ‘fool’ when Banks announced the release of one of his latest songs ‘Omo Oromo’ off his EP ‘Off The Record’
Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon known by the moniker, Reekado Banks is a multiple award-winning Nigerian international singer, songwriter, and performer. The singer made his big break in 2014 and has since been on an impressive streak.
The music icon is regarded as one of the most consistent hitmaker in Africa and this is seen through the array of music heavyweights that have enlisted his prowess as a featured act.
In 2016, the singer released a 21 track debut album dubbed ‘Spotlight’. The album made it to the 10th spot of Billboard’s World Albums Chart and scooped an award as the ‘Best Album of The Year’
In reaction to the tweet, Wizkid did not only refer to Reekado as a ‘fool’ but asked him to delete the tweet that he had written announcing the release of the song he had featured Wizkid.
However, Reekado kept his cool and did not respond to him. As a result of his encounter with Wizkid, the music star has expressed his sentiments on how feels disrespected.
“It made me understand that I wasn’t respected as much as I thought som it’s like I dey my lane then” he stated.
Mr.Banks also has had an exchange of words with fellow Nigerian star Burna Boy.
Recently Burna Boy hosted a question and answer session on his Twitter page asking his fans which music star he would be willing to have a hitting battle with. As an opportunity to showcase his talent Reekado jumped in the challenge saying that he was ready to take on Burna Boy musically.
