Michelle Obama becomes the recent celebrity to react to explosive Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. Speaking to Access Hollywood, the former US first lady who was promoting her new Netflix children’s cooking show dubbed Waffles + Mochi, weighed in on the interview saying that she hopes that Meghan and Prince Harry can find closure and a bright future after leaving the Monarchy.
She also went on to state that she hopes the couple and the total family can also find forgiveness and resolve their differences since family is always important.
“My hope is that, when I think about what they’re going through, I think about the importance of family and I just pray that there is forgiveness and there us clarity and love and resolve at some point in time,” said Michelle Obama.
She continued to add, “Because there’s nothing more important than family.”
Notably, a few days ago Meghan Markle opened up on startling revelations about the Royal family disclosing that there were concerns and conversations regarding their son’s skin color during her pregnancy. She also disclosed to Oprah how she had been offered zero help by the family after revealing she had been suffering serious mental health difficulties including suicidal thoughts in the wake of massive press scrutiny.
Following these revelations, Buckingham Palace released a statement on behalf of Queen Elizabeth stating that the entire family was saddened to hear how challenging the last several years have been for Markle and Prince Harry.
“The issue raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members,” the statement read.
