James Bond Film Legend Sir Sean Connery’s cause of death has been confirmed almost a month after his death. The stars death certificate has been made public confirming the cause of his death.
Sean Connery died at the age of 90 years in the early hours of Halloween at his home in the Bahamas. According to the death certificate, Connery died of pneumonia, respiratory failure, old age, and atrial fibrillation-an irregular heartbeat.
Sources have reported that the star died at his luxurious mansion in Nassau on the island of New Providence. His wife Michelle Roque rune had previously told how the actor died peacefully in his sleep and surrounded by family.
During an interview with BBC Connery’s son, Jason shared the last moments of his father revealing that his father had been sick for some time and that he died peacefully in his sleep in the presence of his family.
Paying tribute to his film star dad, Jason said his death would be a “sad loss for a people around the world”. According to Jason, Sir Sean “had many of his family who could be in the Bahamas around him” when he died in Nassau.
“We are all working at understanding this huge event as it only happened so recently, even though my dad has been unwell for some time,” admitted Jason. A sad day for all who knew and loved my dad and a sad loss for all people around the world who enjoyed the wonderful gift he had as an actor,” he added.
The Scottish star shot to fame in 1962 with Dr. No, and went on to star in seven films across the franchise, including You Only Live Twice, Diamonds Are Forever, and Goldfinger. He went on to win an Oscar for his portrayal of an Irish police officer in The Untouchables and was knighted by the Queen in 2000.
