Fast-rising KTN journalist Akisa Wandera at the start of this week announced that she suffered from Covid-19 after receiving a positive diagnosis two weeks ago.
Taking to her Twitter account, the KTN broadcaster revealed that she is currently on her path to recovery and further warned Kenyans to exercise caution by adhering to the Coronavirus guidelines.
“Daily reminder to wear your mask and take all necessary precautions. ThatThe virus has shown me terrible things these past two weeks… But thank God we’re almost fully recovered. Take care of yourselves,” she wrote on Twitter.

Following her announcement netizens and media colleagues have wished her a quick recovery.
The journalist’s Covid-19 diagnosis comes at a time when the virus cases have recording a new surge in the country.
As of Sunday, February 28, Kenya had a cumulative case of 105,973 while the death toll stood at 1,856, according to statistics released by Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe.
