Lupita Nyong’o premiers new show to empower African children

Black Panther actress Lupita, has given black native Africans something worth watching this month on YouTube.

The award-winning Mexican-Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o is gearing up to release a new children’s show created to empower African children.

According to the celebrated thespian, her new project dubbed Sema is set to premiere on YouTube from March 8th, 2021, and this will cater to a different audience, most especially those who haven’t read her children’s book Sulwe.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘’This is Sema, an extraordinary African girl on a mission to change the world with the power of Determination, Creativity, Science, and Technology! You’ll meet her on the new @YouTube series #SuperSema that I’m producing with @TeamKukua. The show premieres on March 8, and watch out for the trailer this Friday! @SuperSemaOfficial #TimeToChangeTheWorld #AfricaKidPower

Following her announcement, the actress who recently turned 38 received tones of congratulatory messages from her fellow celebrities and was hailed for the great contribution she is making in the industry.

Lupita who has always been the epitome of female empowerment has been vocal about empowering young children, especially those black or African roots to have more confidence in themselves and big dreams in life.

Also, Lupita’s best-selling children’s book Sulwe borrowed the name from her native Dholuo language.

Her latest project in collaboration with Kukua is titled Sema, which is a Swahili word meaning ‘Say’.
