Millicent Omanga clashes with chips vendor over “donation antics”

This weekend, Nominated Senator  Millicent Omanga has become a subject of discussion on Twitter following a series of allegations from roadside chips vendor Bevalyne Kwamboka who revealed to netizens that she never received any cash to boost her business, something that is contradictory to Omanga’s Twitter statement claiming otherwise.

Omanga, who at most instances likes to call herself  Mama Miradi (a woman of projects) flaunted her contributions to the businesswoman’s vending business across social media where she claimed to have offered cash, stock, umbrellas, and aprons to the young lady by the name Bevalyne Kwamboka so as to boost her french fries business.

“Bevalyne Kwamboka is now sorted. Umbrella, cash, and stock to boost her hustle. Mvua au jua haitamharibia biashara tena. Now let’s go eat those chips,” the former Jubilee diehard boasted.

The outcome of the generous gesture has since taken a new twist, whereby Ms. Kwamboka has vehemently denied receiving any solid cash from the politician.

According to the food and snacks vendor,  Omanga’s team visited her with some paraphernalia, which they used as props to take photos with and claim to have donated to her, only to leave with them.

“For clarification, team @MillicentOmanga only bought waru za 350 came out of the vehicle with 5 umbrellas, took photos returned them and gave out one and two aprons. Hiyo mambo ya cash haikua plus stock ni ya 350. Hizo waru gunia kubwa I had bought and started the day.”

In a quick rejoinder, Omanga gave a brief clarification on what transpired as she was away.

When it was brought to my attention that Bevalyne Kwamboka had publicly requested for an umbrella to help shield her from rain and sun as she does her chips business I was out of the country but immediately dispatched my team to visit her and offer her the help she needed.

My team visited her & brought back positive report. I made a tweet to that effect to which Kwamboka acknowledged. I’m thus disturbed to learn that she has complained and rubbished the support she got through my office. I did my best under the circumstances and I’m sorry that I didn’t meet her expectations which appear to have been higher. In such situations the truth, honesty & facts are sacrificed at the alter of social media fame, blackmail & character assassination. I wish Kwamboka success & good fortunes as she grows her business .”

And as the public exchanges between the two continue, Ms. Kwamboka has since discarded all the bright yellow merchandise she had since received from the politician and replaced it with merchandise from betting company Odibets.
