New beginnings;Kaki Mwihaki leaves the Adawnage band

The talented Adawnage Band is known for life-changing gospel hits like Naomba, Uwezo, Tulizo plus I Live For You.
Unfortunately, one of its bandmates Kaki Mwihaki has exited the band for greener pastures. Kaki who was the founder of the great band served as the songwriter and singer.

The vocal group which initially consisted of thirteen members namely; Robert Njuguna, Anthony Iganza, Julius Nyawara, David Ogara, Dominic Khaemba, Roselyn Mwihaki, Lorna Olwanda, Wanjiku Mirithu, Frank Muriuki, and Noah Ochieng put Kenya’s worship songs on the international map with uplifting worship music has just said goodbye to Ms Mwihaki.
Citing her reasons for the unexpected exit, Kaki Mwaihaki decided to go solo after being part of the band for a decade.
Ms Mwihaki decided to pursue a solo career in the U.S where she has been signed by a record label known as Magichands Music who has been funding her recent music projects since she joined in January 2020.
Magichands Music also distributes her creations and are currently naturing and promoting her upcoming EP. Her recent single Tegemeo seems to be doing well as it has garnered 600,000 views since its premiere on YouTube.
The Uwezo Vocalist is manged by Mr Onasis Green who has grown her fanbase and promoted her solo career for quite a while.
Her impressive solo projects which have been received well include; Jibu Si Kifo, Incredible, Nani Kama Yahweh, Tegemeo and Tabibu.

According to the former Adawnage Band vocalist, her best performing single is ‘Tegemeo’ and she is loving it!
She said in an interview,
This is my most successful solo so far.
The band which initially hosted 13 members, has reduced to 10 after some of the bandmates opted to pursue other options.
Asking her on how life has been since her exit from Adwanage, Kaki said the journey hasn’t been easy but it has shaped her into a better artist ultimately.
