Seasoned Kenyan Rapper Muthoni the Drummer Queen (MDQ) is excited to let the world know the love of her life.
The rapper whose real name is Muthoni Ndonga is deep in love and dating Musa Omusi, a creative artist hailing from Nairobi.
Through her official Instagram on Monday, the Drummer Queen shared adorable photos of herself passionately cuddling to her bae who smiled sheepishly.
“#MCM for life. Forever and one day my love,” MDQ captioned the photos.
Omusi quickly responded to the post with heart-shaped emojis which signifies intense love for the musician.
Muthoni The Drummer Queen’s line of work involves producing alternative electro-hip-hop music and she is also the brainchild behind Africa Nouveau and Blankets & Wine festivals.
“Koroga festival is a direct imitation of Blankets & Wine, done by my former partners and to be honest, those are just old ideas. What we’re on to is way bigger than Koroga and Blankets. We have revolutionary ideas right now. It was time to transition into something better. We are working with the most progressive musicians, visual and digital artists, DJs, producers, fashion designers and foodies. People are afraid of growth but change is a must. It’s a way of life.” She said.
Muthoni said she natured her passion in choirs at school until 2004 when a student-organized her first live concert with the help of her allies.
In 2008, MDQ founded ‘Blankets & Wine’ believing that alternative genre of music has little visibility and airplay in Kenya.
The veteran artist has scored four albums to her name that has earned her popularity in the Kenyan music scene.
