A death notice announcing the sad was printed in the Daily Telegraph.

“Adored wife of Sam. Much loved mother of William, Arthur, and Mary and a loving Granny of Ella, Frankie, Sam, and Cosima.

“Private family funeral. Memorial service later.” The announcement read.

The notice, published in the Daily Telegraph, added: “Family flowers only please, but donations gratefully received in Celia’s memory to Ebony Horse Club.”

Lord Samuel served as Master of the Horse to the Royal Household between 1999 and 2018 and was later appointed as a permanent Lord-in-waiting to the monarch in August 2019.

Lady Celia was the second wife of Lord Samuel. They got married in December 1981 and are blessed with three children The Hon. William Guy Vestey, the Hon. Authur George Vestey and The Hon. Mary Henrietta Vestey.

Lady Celia’s eldest son Hon. William Guy served as the Page of Honour to the Queen from 1995 until 1998.

Harry’s christening was held at St.George’s Chapel where his wedding with the Duchess of Sussex was followed by a reception held at Windsor Castle.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip were in attendance, alongside Princesses Diana’s parents, Earl Spencer and Frances Shand Kydd.

In early November Queen Elizabeth mourned the death of yet another close friend Lady Moyra Campbell, one of the women who accompanied her as she made her solemn vows at her historic Coronation in 1953.
