Talented gospel musician Ruth Matete has penned an emotional letter to her daughter Reyna Toluwa promising to be there for her; as she commemorated her late Nigerian husband John Olakami Apewajoye who died in April this year.

In the post she wrote;

“Reyna Toluwa my princess my love. I’m not a poet but the words I write here are from my heart. I pray for you on this special day that you will grow to serve the Lord. You will spread the good news of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As the bible says ‘and how can anyone preach unless they are sent. How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news’.I declare today that your feet are beautiful not just because they look like your father but also because they will bring the good news as the word of God declares. A day like this last year your father and I walked down the aisle, yes we did! Promised to be together until death do us part but death came earlier than expected. I miss him so much. But I’m blessed to have you as a gift that he left me with. I don’t even understand how I have come this far.It can only be God. Today may not be such an easy day for mummy but I promise you I will be fine. I have seen God to be the father of the fatherless and husband to the widow as he has promised in his word. Today won’t be an exception I know he will help us even today”….

The singer has also reached out for financial support since she is still unable to work

“Friends our till number remains the same in case you wish to support us 5495849 whatever you can will go a mighty long way as I’m still not able to work. God bless you friends and please keep us in your prayers” she concludes.

Her followers have also sent her words of encouragement. Here is a portion of them.

You’re blessed and favored and Be assured you will never lack anything at any given point, we serve a promise-keeping God He will provide according to His riches in glory, He is a faithful God, blessings. Count on my support” Timanoi Backshon posted on her page
