Samburu Senator Steve Lelegwe has tied the knot with his second wife Irene Sais Nakae in a flashy ceremony in Kajiado County on Saturday, November 21, 2020
The scene of the wedding had a modern white décor that was blended with a Maasai theme together with a four-storey red and blue cake.
Senator Lelegwe was dressed in a traditional Moran attire with sandals while his bride wore a red gown as the bridal party rocked golden dresses with Maasai jewelry.
The Senator recently divorced his first wife Beatrice after she kicked him out of their matrimonial home.
The wedding that was graced by a mix of Samburu and Maasai cultures was attended by friends, family, and a couple of politicians.
Steve Lelegwe previous marriage ended in a dramatic divorce in March this year. His former wife had claimed that the Senator had neglected her and the children and moved into their matrimonial home in Nairobi with his girlfriend.
“He is always on his phone flirting with other women. He does not have any respect for me or the children. I know that he met the lady on a dating site and afterward decided to chase me and the kids away,” the former stated in earlier reports.
The Senator admitted that he had a girlfriend and that he was going to marry her before the year ends and well it seems he was not tripping because he just did!
It was said that the wedding was a symbolic implication of the cordial relationship between the Maa communities of the North and South.
However, there seem to be mixed reactions from the Lelegwe’s followers as some of them said that he married too soon he should have worked on his former marriage at least. On the other hand, some congratulated the Senator for his new union.
