Saucy Meatballs Recipe | Cooking With Madonna

 

Here is a simple saucy meatballs recipe. Don’t be limited, you can use your preferred spices for the same or even better results.

Saucy Meatballs Recipe

Meatballs Ingredients

 

  • 3/4kg minced beef
  • 1tbsp black pepper
  • 1tbsp paprika
  • 1tbsp cardamom
  • 1tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 royco cubes
  • 1 medium sized red onion finely chopped
  • A bunch of dhania finely chopped
  • 2 cups of breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1tbsp salt
  • Wheat flour (optional)

 

 

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 medium sized red onion finely chopped
  • A bunch of dhania finely chopped
  • 4 buds of garlic minced
  • Minced ginger paste
  • 3 cups of tomato puree
  • 2 beef royco cubes
  • 3 bottle tops of white vinegar
  • 1tbsp paprika
  • 1tbsp black pepper
  • 1tbsp cardamom
  • Tomato sauce/ketchup (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • A cup of water
  • 3 serving spoons of vegetable oil

 

 

Procedure

  • In a bowl, put the minced beef, breadcrumbs,eggs,onions,dhania, all the spices and mix using your hands for better results.
  • Once ready, use a regular spoon or ice cream scoop to scoop equal portions of the meat and form balls using your palms.
  • Roll the balls over the wheat flour and set them aside for frying.
  • On a heated pan, add vegetable oil and shallow fry the meatballs. Cook until they’re brown on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside once ready. (Do not overcook them)
  • On the same pan, add onions and sauté for a minute.
  • Add garlic and ginger paste and sauté for another minute.
  • Add tomato puree , tomato sauce and stir.
  • Add all the spices and allow the mixture to simmer.
  • Add water. Allow the mixture to simmer then add the meatballs.
  • Ensure all the meatballs are covered with the sauce. Let them cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes. (stir occasionally)
  • Add dhania and serve with pasta.
