Rose Muhando, a legendary Tanzanian musician on Saturday hosted an album launch party at Villa Rosa Kempinski where guests were expected to part with 50,000 to attend the event.
The much-anticipated album launch, which has been the talk of the town for the past few weeks over it’s high entrance fee propelled netizens to question the hefty charges over a mere event.
In her defense, Muhando said her album launch was aimed at raising a lump sum amount of money that would help her build a church in Tanzania.
The ‘Nibebe’ hitmaker went on to add that she received a calling from God to organize the said event which would foot the construction bill to her sanctuary in Tanzania.
Speaking during an interview on Radio Maisha, the renowned musician mentioned that she is gearing up to build a church for God thus influencing her decision to settle on the Ksh. 50,000 entrance fee.
”It does not matter where the church will be located but I will just be happy when I succeed to build the church for God,” Muhando added.
Exclusive photos from the launch party now reveal that only a handful of Kenyans were present at the event and from the images shared, empty tables were seen and the majority of those in attendance were the press who have been granted a free pass to access the event.
