Kenyan singer Suzziah Odambo who is famously known for her hit song with Kenyan boy band Le Band ‘Number 1’ has finally resurfaced after vanishing from the music scene without a trace.
The songbird took it to her Twitter account on 2020, November 23 and revealed some rather surprising details of where she has been and who she has become.
In the series of tweets, she admitted that she was in a dark place due to the kind of influence secular music was having in her life and her fans. On the light side of things, she is happy that God found her and saved her life.
In 2017, the 20-year-old beauty became a music sensation after emerging the winner of Kiss TV’s singing competition dubbed ‘The Search’ and walking away with Ksh 1m.
Her victory in the talent search contest gave her not just a recording deal but a place in the Kenyan music industry.
According to the singer, she felt so convicted about the kind of music she was doing then. It was not Godly and led her listeners to sin.
“That wasn’t settling for my spirit, so it had to go! For me, it’s about honoring my Father, so anything that doesn’t do that has to get out of the car!” She wrote.
However, she expressed her appreciation to those who loved her music for the five years but she has left that life and she is now living for Christ.
“I just want to move forward now with God at the center,” she stated.
Suzziah nevertheless explained that she is not done with music and that she even enjoys it more since she now sings for Christ.
“I would love to continue making music, just not the kind I was doing before and I hope you get this” She concludes.
