Veteran artist Julius ‘Juliani’ Owino recently confirmed the ongoing speculations romantically linking him with former Machakos First Lady Lillian Ng’ang’a.
On September 3rd, the father of one evoked mixed reactions on social media after affirming that he and his newfound love Lillian, are consenting adults free to engage in any way shape, or form whilst urging his followers to ignore any other fanning narratives, that he deems as ill-intentioned and malicious.
“In this photo are two fully conscious adults who have chosen to be together. Any other narrative is false, outdated, and ill-intentioned. Let’s respect people’s choices. Love and let love,” wrote the, a similar statement that Lilian echoed by re-posting on her timeline.
The confirmation has come barely a day after vocal activist Boniface Mwangi aired some concerns over Juliani’s welfare, who has been receiving death threats for posting photos with Lilian on his social media which pushed him to record a statement at Kileleshwa Police Station.
“My very good friend @JulianiKenya was threatened yesterday. Someone called him and texted him using (phone number). He told him to stop posting pics posed with his friend @LillyanneNganga, and if he continues, they will kill him,” tweeted Mwangi.
While speaking about the threats from an anonymous Kenyan number, the “Utawala Hitmaker” rubbished claims that he ‘stole’ Lilian, saying the narrative was false and stale.
“How now can you “iba mtu”?! An intelligent adult with a sound mind. The call/text threat on my life today, NOT funny! “ulinyang’anyana” narrative is false, tired, juicy headlines tu. Kindly STOP! For the threats, usi aim face, na prefer niki smile kwa open casket. Baraka,” he wrote.
A few weeks prior, Lilian had announced her split after a 10-year turbulent relationship with Dr. Alfred Mutua, and despite their separation, she chooses to remain friends with the Machakos Governor.
“Winds of change blew my way and two months ago, I decided to end the long-term relationship with Dr. Alfred Mutua. We had a good run and I am forever grateful to God, he brought us together. We remain friends,” she posted
